A message from Bo…
Each year, we come together, remember lives that were tragically lost on April 27, 2011, and ride in solidarity to ensure we never see such loss of life from tornadoes ever again.
2021 will be the 10th anniversary of the 2011 tornadoes and the 10th year of Bo Bikes Bama. Over the years, we have raised more than $2 million for the Alabama Governor’s Emergency Relief Fund, which has funded many relief projects and constructed 68 safe rooms, among other disaster preparedness resources. Together, we have saved and repaired lives.
Bo and the Bo Bikes Bama team have had countless discussions about how we can do the most good for the cause while protecting our communities and our health in 2021. With these top priorities in mind, we decided we cannot reasonably hold Bo Bikes Bama in 2021 as we know and love it. We know you are sad about this—we assure you that Bo and our team are too. But we believe this is the right decision so that we can continue doing our part to put an end to this pandemic.
So, while we won’t be riding together in-person, Bo and the team of producing partners and our incredible staff have come up with some great ways that we can still ride, connect, and do the most good in 2021.
Take a look below at what we currently have planned to honor this important anniversary.
